And RWA Reponds to Deidre Knight's Call for Epub Inclusion

It looks like this war of words is destined to go on and on for the immediate future, which is too bad.

Traditional publishing is failing all around us (with many good sized publishers declaring bankruptcy or just taking a moratorium on buying new books), and RWA dances on.

This just gives me yet another reason never to rejoin RWA (as if I needed another reason). I was even a PAN member at one point, though I wouldn't be now, because my PAN-qualifying book didn't have an initial print run of 15,000 (even if it did meet the minimum $1000 advance requirement).

RWA seems to exist solely to grab dues from unpublished aspiring authors. There isn't much in it for those of us who actually have careers.
